    The County Board of Supervisors in 2022 endorsed the Safe Streets for All Program to "address systemic transportation safety issues for people walking, biking and using other forms of active transportation."

    Levelle Dupell Park is less than 0.25 mile away but residents cannot safely walk to the park because there is no sidewalk.

    Fairfax County Staff noted it is nearly impossible to reach the park without a car due to the lack of a sidewalk

    Several restaurants, delis, cafes, and a brewery are less than mile away but residents cannot safely walk to these businesses because there is no sidewalk.

    Levelle Dupell Park, Kingstowne Center for Active Adults, Kingstowne Library, Wegmans Supermarket, CVS Pharmacy, NOVA Day Care, US Post Office, and more are located less than a mile away but residents cannot safely walk to these stores and community services because there is no sidewalk.

    The Newington Road community wants a safe, accessible, thriving community

    Over 100 households along Newington Road and the surrounding community have signed a petition asking the County to build sidewalk or paved pedestrian path.
